Vaiṣṇava Calendars for Gaurābda 508 (2024-25)

Vaiṣṇava Calendars for Gaurābda 508 (2024-25)
The calendars from the Gauḍīya Vedānta Samiti Trust and Gopīnātha Gauḍīya Maṭha

This post is a bit late, but better late than never!

Thanks to a little prodding from some friends, I have finally finished setting up the Google calendars for Vrindavan and Navadvip. If you subscribed to them last year, there's no need to do anything—they've already been updated. However, if you haven't subscribed yet, here are the links:

(Note: You'll need to click this link from a computer, not a phone. I made some videos demonstrating these calendars and the set up process in last year's calendar post.)

The Navadvīpa calendar is based on the Bengali calendars from the Gauḍīya Vedānta Samiti Trust and Gopīnātha Gauḍīya Maṭha. (I included all the differences between them.)

The Vrindavan calendar follows the GVP calendar prepared by Amala Kṛṣṇa Prabhu. At the beginning of this GVP calendar, you'll find fascinating details about how Ekādaśīs and Vaiṣṇava appearance and disappearance days are calculated, why there are differences between various calendars, auspicious tithis for traveling, and more. You can download them here: GVP calendar in English and GVP calendar in Hindi.

For those living outside Vrindavan or Navadvip

If you live outside Vrindavan or Navadvīpa, you can use this calendar I prepared as a base and then tweak it according to the dates of the Vaiṣṇava calendar for your locality. I personally use the PureBhakti Calendar when I'm not in Vrindavan or Navadvip.

I give detailed instructions on how to set this up in last year's calendar post.

Tithi Countdown

We also have a WhatsApp group where I post daily countdowns of the next eight upcoming tithis and links to our live readings about those tithis. If you'd like to join the group, click the link below.

Thankfully, all the Ekādaśīs in Vrindavan and Navadvip fall on the same day this year. 🥳
